Brigolante, Assisi, Italy

Our Town apartments

Brigolante's town apartments are located on the main square in Assisi, Italy, and are perfect for those who want to stay in the center of town and explore all the sights of this gorgeous Italian hilltown on foot.
Our three self-catering apartments are located on the upper floors of a historic noble palazzo, with towering antique oak doors onto the street, a grand marble staircase leading up, and an eclectic mix of balconies, terraces, and courtyards so typical of Italy's historic buildings.
The palazzo is in one of Assisi's most vibrant quarters, and everything from grocery stores and butcher shops to boutiques and art studios are just outside the door. The town's best caffès, bars, and restaurants are all right downstairs, lining the piazza and nearby pedestrian streets!

La Terrazza

2/3 guests

With its charming sloped wood ceiling, huge windows, terra cotta floors, and stained glass doors, La Terrazza feels like a mix between a mountain chalet and an attic retreat. But what will take your breath away is the huge terrace overlooking Assisi's main piazza, the tiled roofs of the historic center, and the Umbrian valley beyond.

Useful information

Do I need a car?
You can easily arrive at our town apartments by train (then take a short bus or taxi ride from the station to the center of Assisi), and visit all the sights in Assisi on foot. If you are using Assisi, Italy as a base to visit all of Umbria, I strongly recommend traveling by car, as Umbria's smaller hilltowns are not well served by public transportation and are difficult to visit by train or bus.
Do you have parking?
There are two public parking garages at less than 5 minutes by foot, at a cost of €12/day (€13/day in August).
Which is the nearest airport?
We are about two hours from Rome, Florence, and Ancona airport. There is also a regional airport near Perugia, which is about 20 minutes from Brigolante. This airport connects internationally through the Rome Fiumicino airport, and also has some direct flights to European cities with Ryanair.
Do you accept pets?
Yes, we accept pets in our town apartments. Please let us know beforehand if you are bringing a pet!
Do you serve breakfast?
No, our apartments are self-catering, but you will find all the appliances you need to prepare breakfast in your kitchen, and there are a number of cafés and pastry shops just downstairs for breakfast out.
Are there restaurants nearby?
Yes! Our town apartments are surrounded by excellent restaurants, cafés, wine bars, and the town's grocery store, butcher, and green grocer are just downstairs.
Are the town apartments suitable for families?
Absolutely! Both our town and country apartments are very family friendly! I have two children myself (though they are rapidly becoming teenagers!), and love to host families. We have baby cots, a highchair, toys, and plastic dishware...everything you need for young children. In case of emergencies, we are just minutes from the hospital and our pediatrician is very good and makes housecalls!
Our the apartments non-smoking?
Yes, our apartments are all non-smoking. Book La Terrazza or Il Cortile, both of which have comfortable outside areas, if you smoke.
Rental contract
Our town apartments are private residences available for short term vacation rentals.

Where to find us

Our town apartments are located right on the Piazza del Comune (our front door is on a small pedestrian lane above Piazza del Comune). If you are arriving by car, you can park at either Piazza Matteotti or Mojano and walk 5 minutes to our front door. At certain times of day, the Piazza del Comune is open to traffic, so you can unload your luggage in the piazza and then park your car.
