Sono innamorata! Looks like a jewel of a town! and might I just add…Des Moines is one happening town too…kind off (this from an Iowa girl!)
typos! meant “kind of” yikes!…shouldn’t drink wine and respond blog posts at the same time!
Rebecca,
Another winner of a post. As always, love to read anything you write. I also love Citerna, discovered it, almost by chance, over 10 years ago, and was surprised it got (back then) so little attention. I hope you are working on a book! What a great read it would be with your verve and gripping humor! When we are all less busy, can’t we get together with some of the others whom I would love to meet or see again over a nice meal in some quiet restaurant??
All the best.
I think this is the first time I’ve read your blog (can’t understand when we have some ‘similar’ friends), but wanted to thank you for introducing me to Citerna. I just returned from Florence and seeing these photos makes me want to go back now..mahalo.
Melissa, you crack me up! I was wondering how long it would take before I would get someone defending Des Moines (for the record, a city I’ve never seen. But the comic effect of Iowa was too perfect to pass up!)
Absolutely, Mary…count me in! We’ll organize a lunch in January or February when we all have cabin fever….
Thanks, Menehune, for you lovely comment. My brother lives on Kaua’i and we feel in love with the island when we visited last year. So you can yearn for Italy while I yearn for Hawai’i and it will all balance out somehow!
